Since its launch in October 2021, over 800 members have successfully joined the Sismo Community, forming 3 generations of Zikies: Gen[0], Gen[X] and Gen[A]. We are planning a product release by Q2, 2022: Sismo Governance will evolve and adapt to meet that milestone.

The Sismo Social Community
Sismo was initially set up as a social community, gathering curated members sharing similar interests. It enabled us to have constructive conversations and feedback on our mission to create ZK Badges.

We, the Genesis team, have been joined by experts and like-minded individuals. Their enthusiasm and care for our mission, the survey we conducted and the hundreds of meetings with integrators and partners, gave us confidence to move Sismo towards its next phase.
From a Social to a Protocol Community
Our team has grown to 9 members, we met with more than 200 partners and iterated three times on the product.
We are preparing the release of our first public product, which will mark a turning point for Sismo.
As we aim to build a new primitive for all, the product will be progressively driven by tokenomics and governed by the Sismo DAO.
This is why Sismo Community needs to evolve from a gated social community to a product-centric DAO accessible to all: a protocol community.
What’s next?
We put an end to the waitlist and opened our Discord to everyone. This decision has been proposed by the Genesis team and voted by Zikies.
For now, Sismo governance should remain reserved to Zikies.
If you had the chance to join the waitlist, you are part of the Limbos. We took a snapshot on this date (February 8th, 2022) and we will make sure to remember you moving forward.
Some partners should still be onboarded in the community as part of the Gen[X] to help us ship our first product.
Once the first version of the product goes live, the Sismo community shall open to everyone, who will be gradually granted power over the protocol.
